Press Play to let Castaway choose a playable source, or open View sources and pick one yourself. Both are free. Plus adds preferred sound: choose stereo or surround once, and sources are picked to match.
Keep the evening going
Continue watching and subtitles are free. Choose embedded subtitles or use a subtitle add-on, and change languages during playback. Plus adds autoplay for the next episode and Surprise Me for those “you pick” nights.
What kinds of add-ons work?
Castaway supports the open add-on protocol that catalog add-ons use, and plays the direct media links your add-ons return. It has no torrent client. Configure any account an add-on needs with that add-on.

How are sync and updates handled?
Sync is optional and off until you turn it on. Data is encrypted on your device and stored as an unreadable file on a small relay we run; only your own TVs hold the key. See the privacy policy for the full details.
The app checks for new builds and verifies the downloaded file against its published SHA-256 checksum before installation.
